Thank you I.C.A. for the great month I spent with you. I was impressed by the personal attention I received from the teachers, administrators, and from my host family. My Spanish improved so much that some of my Central American clients did not recognize my voice on the phone when I returned to work. I will always treasure my beautiful memories of my time in Xela.

HOLA! I studied at ICA this summer for 3 weeks and learned more Spanish than I had ever imagined. I went to Guatemala not speaking a word, and left knowing 3 verb tenses and lots of vocabulary, especially about the World Cup :) The professors are really great, and in the time I was not in class I had the opportunity to go on the school's field trips and volunteer at La escuela para niños (school for children) It was a very enculturating experience in so many ways. I studied at ICA for 4 weeks this summer and the school is great!! The teachers really know what they're doing! I also really love the projects of reforestation, bi-lingual, artisans, and the grade school!! I hope to return to Xela in the future!! If you're debating about a school to attend, ICA is awesome!!

As a student for 4 weeks in 2001 and 2 weeks in 2002, I have been very pleased with the quality of the teachers (I've had 4) and the school's organization. The teaching is both professional and imaginative. My family was very gracious and helpful to me. The school had plenty of extra activities that were fun.
